Here we report on our preparations for our departure to Peru at the end of January 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Diospi Suyana is a missionary hospital for Quechua Indians and means \u00abtrust in God\u00bb.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hospital is located at an altitude of 2650 meters in the Andes of Peru in the village of Curahuasi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was founded in 2007 by the German couple Martina and Klaus Dieter John.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hospital offers comprehensive medical care for the rural population suffering from poverty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rahel will work as an MPA (medical practice assistant) in the care sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gabriel is a qualified nursing specialist HF and will work on the ward or in endoscopy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our children go to kindergarten and elementary school at the Diospi Suyana missionary hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mava is in Year 2 and Ilay is in Year 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The lessons are taught in Spanish and the classes are mixed with local children from Curahuasi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We don't earn a salary at the hospital and we pay for our own accommodation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is the only way to provide the Chuechua Indians with medical care for very little money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The entire hospital is built on donations and trust in God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hospital has been in existence for 15 years and has treated 500,000 patients to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are dependent on donations from friends to support ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
