Finally in Curahuasi at the Hospital Diospi Suyana!

Last Monday we took a 2.5 hour cab ride from Cusco to Curahuasi to the Diospi Suyana hospital. The winding and fast-paced journey was entertaining and exciting.
We received a very warm welcome at the hospital and were able to complete or initiate all the formalities during the week.
For example, submitting our visas, creating work badges, licenses for our work permits, authorization from the notary to empty our mailbox, guided tours of the hospital, ward, emergency, intensive care, pharmacy, endoscopy, media center (radio & TV), orthopaedic workshop, chapel, dental clinic, eye clinic, carpentry, school and kindergarten.

It was very exciting, incredibly impressive and overwhelming to finally experience the hospital and the staff for real after 9 years!

We met various future employees. We were invited for lunch, snacks or dinner and were able to get to know the families with their children and pets.
We received the key to our future house and were allowed to visit it several times.
We greeted and fed the two donkeys (Santiago & Lilly), saw the cats, most of whom live on the roof, and the only chicken, which lays 1 egg a day.
The children loved the trampoline, the ping-pong table in the house and the 2 hammocks.
On Saturday we went back to Cusco from 2650m above sea level to 3500m above sea level.

The difference in altitude made itself felt again, with a tight feeling when breathing and little breath.

On Monday we had the appointment with Interpol for the further process of our visa, i.e. fingerprints of 10 fingers, documentation of the position of our teeth at the dentist and photos of our profile from three perspectives.
On Tuesday there was a meeting at the language school and the kindergarten so that we can start next week.

We are incredibly grateful to God for the miraculous way he has led us to this point.
We are doing very well, we are alive and well.
