The last few weeks have been very intense!
We have moved our household goods and put them on hold. We sold a lot of it on the Internet and gave it away.

The final work and renovations on the house have been completed, everything has been cleared and our most important belongings have been packed into 8 suitcases.

It was disposed of, a lot of things were packed onto the screed, the garden was spruced up and everything was cleaned and groomed.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the great support from so many individuals, because we couldn't have done it without you!
We received spontaneous support with the disposal, packing and cleaning of all the rooms.
The last few days we were able to stay with my parents-in-law and say goodbye to many friends and family as well as to Ilay and Mava's great-grandparents (94 years old).
It was a joy, but also associated with a few tears and many emotions.
On the last evening we were able to distribute the weight of the suitcases evenly using my father-in-law's industrial scales.

And last night, Rahel and I were able to sleep peacefully and reasonably well again.
The nights before were restless and short-lived.
On Tue. the 23.7. it finally started and yet already!
Our luggage was loaded into the IVECO van, the children woke up, had breakfast, went to the toilet again and then we drove to Zurich airport, directly to the main entrance!

So we were able to load all our suitcases onto 3 luggage trolleys and roll them to Check Inn 1 with the help of my parents.
Checking in my baggage went smoothly and I was able to check in my mountain bike as sports baggage free of charge.
The flight was exciting and we watched movies throughout.
After a 10-hour flight, we landed safely in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
We have a 14-day stopover here and can recover from the stresses and strains of the last few weeks and refocus.

The children enjoy the pool and we recover from the time difference at 31 degrees.

The fruits such as pineapples, bananas, avocados (in various shapes) and mangoes are a dream.
On August 7th we fly via Lima to Cusco at 3500 meters above sea level where we attend the language school for 6 months.
